New Light - Two Sticks in Ezekiel - July 2016 Watchtower
by Listener inezekiel 37:15-17 prophesies about two sticks being joined together to become 1. one stick represented the two tribe kingdom of judah and the other stick represented the 10 tribe of israel (ephraim).
the article explains how the coming together of these two sticks meant the reuniting of these tribes in 537 bce.the modern day fulfillment was previously taught to mean that the anointed had once again come together in unity in these last days.the july watchtower now explains that one stick, the stick of judah, represents the anointed and the other stick, the stick of ephraim, represents the other sheep.
they further explain that since 1919 god's people have gradually reunited to become one flock.they are now saying that the other sheep are represented by 10 tribes of israel.

I would rather be in the JW cult than the ex-jw cult
by questioningmyfaith ini have posted one other time on this website.
just for the mere fact that i wasn't anger and bitter and ready to declare the gb the sociopathic criminals that so many here ascribe to, my initial question digressed to bickering over ad hominem attacks against the gb and not my beliefs that i'm questioning.
some did give me some help on my questions.

Whatever happened to "YOU'RE WELCOME"? Has "NO PROBLEM" replaced it?
by Terry inwherever i go, i say "thank you" to clerks, servers, delivery people, hosts and hostesses and the response has become invariable: "no problem!".
have i aged to the point i'm now an old fuddy duddy who doesn't "get it"?.
is it counted mannerly to avoid, "you're welcome" in favor of "no problem"?.

I don't know if its just me, but I find the narrator's voice really annoying.
Is that even a real accent she and her "mother" have?

15 Year Old Mormon Girl Tortured For Being Gay
by cofty inalex cooper, a former mormon, offers a terrifying account of being held hostage for eight months in an unlicensed “residential treatment program” modeled on the many “therapeutic” boot camps scattered across utah.. at the mormon run “treatment center” alex was physically and verbally abused.
many days she was forced to stand facing a wall wearing a heavy backpack full of rocks.
she developed sores on her shoulders and cramps in her back.

Jehovah's Witnesses - Emotional Blackmail - Fear Obligation Guilt
by JT-LadyC inafter leaving the jehovah’s witness religion, we had the opportunity to read emotional blackmail by susan forward, ph.d. we could relate to the stories she discusses in the book and could make a direct correlation to our lives as jehovah’s witnesses.
while the experiences are somewhat different from what we encountered in our personal lives, we could readily comprehend how individuals use emotional blackmail to make others develop fear, obligation and guilt in order to manipulate them into furthering their own agenda.this podcast explains in great detail how jehovah’s witnesses live in the fog.
no one can dispute these comments as every current and former witness is most familiar with the culture of the organization!this podcast references the experience of a sister that lived in an iron lung and her experience was used as a tool to measure the faith of jehovah’s witnesses with otherwise good health that did not live up to the daily demands of the watchtower.

After leaving what did you Major in?
by Luther bertrand ini am curious if my observations are correct.
i noticed alot of exjws end up majoring in the social sciences.
i am also interested in what educational choices people have made either while fading or while completely out.

My dream is to create a scholarship funded in large part by exjws for exjws. and create online resources so that those who are fading can get some help.
Love this idea!

Hiererchy among elders --so says Kenneth Flodin
by wannaexit inthere has always been a hierarchy among elders.
now it's been validated by kenneth flodin in this talk about the word "princes".
so not any elder can be a prince in the new order.

So. . . . .
Using Flodin's "garlic bread" analysis of human spirituality, would a "prince" be a thick slice of "Texas toast"?
Or perhaps a really nice Jewish Rye with butter?
Cinnamon rasin loaf?
